ORTHOTENNESSEE – Central Business Office

Insurance Collections – 2 Full-time, Monday – Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm, West location, assisting with insurance accounts receivable (A/R) management for physician claims. Monitors outstanding balances, reviews reports including but not limited to clearinghouse rejections, claims denial tasks, and A/R aging reports. Contacts payers to research claim status, notes accounts and follows up. Must be detail oriented: one year of medical billing experience preferred. Team Player, hungry, humble and smart.

Refunds Coordinator –2 Full-time, Monday – Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm with possible flex scheduling, West location.  Research and process refunds for overpayments made by health insurances, workers compensation and patients.  Must be very detailed and Team-oriented.  Medical billing preferred.

Payment Posting – Full-time, Monday – Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm West location. Position will enter, balance and post both personal and insurance payments. Previous posting experience is a plus. Ideal candidate will be a team player who is hungry, humble and smart, as well as, detail oriented.

Pre-surgery Collections – Full-time, Monday – Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm; Creating and collecting pre-surgical estimates for elective procedures, proving requested documentation. Employ best practices to communicate with patients about balances they owe and work with them to collect the amount due in advance of their surgeries. Must be detail oriented: one year of medical billing experience preferred. Team Player, hungry, humble and smart.

Cash Reconciliation Specialist – Full-time, Monday – Friday; responsible for the day to day recording and reconciling of all incoming revenue outlets and payer sources. These are high volume revenue streams that are reconciled between the practice management system, accounting software system, and the corporate bank account. This role will utilize a full understanding of the reconciliation cycle to research any variances and also expand on process improvement opportunities. The role will also include assisting the payment posting team as needed, as well as the Accounting and Financial Reporting teams with other duties.

Patient Collections – Full-time, West location, Monday – Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm, Candidate will assist with accounts receivable (A/R) management for physician claims. Monitor all accounts with delinquent patient balances. Review patient balances for outsourcing to Payment Monitoring or to Collections.  Work closely with our extended business office and collection agencies. Work closely with patients as well as with the front desk and appointments to collect balances. Process bankruptcy notices, returned statements, USPS reports, patient portal emails, and tasks. Assist patients with questions or requested documentation. Medical billing experience preferred. Must be detail oriented and a team player, hungry, humble and smart.

 

ORTHOTENNESSEE – THERAPY

Hand Therapist – Full-time and PRN, West location, seeking physical or occupational therapist with extensive hand and upper extremity experience to evaluate and treat orthopedic clients. Splinting skills required. Certified Hand Therapist preferred.

Medical Receptionist – Full-time, Monday – Friday, check-in and check-out, collecting co-pays, various clerical duties, scheduling return visits, must be willing to travel to various offices, schedule office appointments, must be friendly and dependable, EHR and NextGen experienced preferred, medical office experience a plus.                                                      

Medical Receptionist, North OfficeFull-time, Monday – Friday, check-in and check-out, collecting co-pays, various clerical duties, scheduling return visits, schedule office appointments, must be friendly and dependable, EHR and NextGen experienced preferred, medical office experience a plus.     

Physical Therapist – PRN, Licensed required; evaluate and establish care plans for patients, carry out treatments, document, patient/caregiver education, care team communication and coordination. 

Occupational Therapist – PRN, Licensed Occupational Therapist with hand/UE orthopedic expertise to fill in as needed; evaluate and establish care plans for patients, carry out treatments, document, patient/caregiver education.

ORTHOTENNESSEE – Powell (North)

Site Services Coordinator – Full-time, Monday through Friday in Powell; responsible for all DME (durable medical equipment) and orthotic fitters to include in-office measuring and fitting of orthotics, managing and tracking patient orders and inventory, communicating with patients and insurance companies, perform product evaluation and testing, coordinates with other departments and offices, maintains confidentiality policies, and other duties as assigned.

 

ORTHOTENNESSEE – Ancillaries

Medical Receptionist – MRI – Part-time, greet patients upon arrival, check-in and check –out, collect co-pays, convey patient responsibility in a professional manner, ability to multi-task, prioritize and be attentive to details. Treat patients, physicians, MRI techs and co-workers in a professional manner. Must be an ideal team player.

Patient Accounts – Full-time, Monday – Friday, resolve claim issues, file reconsiderations and appeals, work AR report and daily tasks, research denials. Must have good customer service skills and be a team player.

 

KNOXVILLE ORTHOPAEDIC SURGERY CENTER

Total Joint Pre-admission Phone Nurse – Full-time, Monday – Friday 9AM – 5:30PM; RN needed to function as nurse navigator between the Physician’s office and surgery center. Will perform preoperative phone calls to patients, coordinate with the office on preoperative clearances and will educate the patient on pre-surgical testing requirements, what to expect on the day of surgery and postoperatively for total joint patients. Must be detail-oriented, organized, proficient in computer skills and able to multitask. Prefer someone with experience in this role and/or preop surgery.

Surgical Tech – PRN, Certified Surgical Tech with orthopedic experience, Total Joint experience a plus,. Must be a team player.

Registered Nurse, Pre-op – PRN, Monday – Friday, pre-operatively prepare patients for surgery. Ability to work in a very busy environment and multi-task well, as well as be a team player.

Registered Nurse, PACU/Recovery – Full Time RN, Monday – Friday, 10AM – 6:30PM, Responsible for monitoring, recovering, and discharging post-surgical orthopedic patients. ACLS and PALS required within 90 days of hire (provided at facility).

KNOXVILLE ORTHOPAEDIC CLINIC

Medical Assistant – Full-time, Monday – Friday position, West/Weisgarber, assisting physician in clinic, pulling patients back, entering demographic information, various clinical and clerical duties. Good communication skills and computer skills. Must be a team player and have a positive attitude. Hungry, humble and people smart.

Certified Professional Coder – Full-time, Monday – Friday; Coder for busy multi-physician orthopedic practice.  Main duties will consist of surgical coding. Working, up to date knowledge of CPT, ICD-10 and HCPCS coding required. Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.  CPC or CPC-A required.  Additional administrative duties as directed by the Coding Manager and Director.

Cast Tech – West location, Full-time, Monday – Thursday, 9:30AM – 8PM (4-10 hour shifts) with occasional Saturdays. Responsibilities include application of splints, casts and durable medical equipment, and monitors cast room. Orthopedic casting experience is preferred, but not required.

Radiologic Technologist – 1 PRN responsible for radiographs, quality control, patient care, cleaning and stocking supplies. Must be a team player and possess the ability to communicate with technologists, staff and physicians. Will rotate between offices. ARRT and Tennessee State license required.

Medical Receptionist – Full-time, Monday – Friday, check-in and check-out, collecting co-pays, various clerical duties, must be willing to travel to various offices, schedule office appointments, must be friendly and dependable, EHR and NextGen experience preferred, medical office experience a plus. Must be able to travel and work flexible hours.

Surgical Billing Specialist – Full-time, Monday – Friday, Weisgarber location; responsible for the surgical billing and collection process, this individual reviews surgical claim denial tasks. Must be detail-oriented; medical billing experience is preferred. Ability to read and interpret billing claims and reports. Coding experience would be an advantage.

Scheduling Coordinator – Full-time, Monday – Friday at Weisgarber; Schedules surgeries, outpatient procedures/tests, referrals and appointments. Clearly communicates with patients by providing instructions/information regarding their surgery/procedures and schedule follow up appointment, documents actions on paper, EMR and EHR, obtains prior authorization/approval for workman’s compensation cases, maintains accurate physicians surgical appointment schedule, knowing and keeping current with requirements of multiple physicians and insurance companies

Medical Scribe – Full-time and part-time at the West location, Monday – Friday, involves entering patient visit information in Electronic Health Records (EHR). Medical terminology and computer skills are important. This is an upbeat and fast–paced clinic. Must be a team player and have a positive attitude.

 

UNIVERSITY ORTHOPEDIC SURGEONS

OR Attendant –  2 Full-time positions, 9a – 5:30p Monday – Friday and 10:30a – 7p, with some weekend call shifts once per month, moving patients, helping turnover rooms, must be a team player.

Registered Nurse – 3 Full-time positions, 7a -5:30p (4 10 hour days), 10:30a to 7p shift, and 3p to 11:30p shift to assist in orthopedic trauma, surgical experience required, team player.

Surgical Tech – Full-time, 7a -7p (3 12 hour days) or 7a -5:30p (4 10 hour days), assist in orthopedic trauma experience. Certified Surgical Tech required, team player.
