ORTHOTENNESSEE – Central Business Office

Insurance Collections – 2 Full-time, Monday – Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm, West location, assisting with insurance accounts receivable (A/R) management for physician claims. Monitors outstanding balances, reviews reports including but not limited to clearinghouse rejections, claims denial tasks, and A/R aging reports. Contacts payers to research claim status, notes accounts and follows up. Must be detail oriented: one year of medical billing experience preferred. Team Player, hungry, humble and smart.

Refunds Coordinator – Full-time, Monday – Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm with possible flex scheduling, West location.  Research and process refunds for overpayments made by health insurances, workers compensation and patients.  Must be very detailed and Team-oriented.  Medical billing preferred.

Payment Posting – Full-time, Monday – Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm West location. Position will enter, balance and post both personal and insurance payments. Previous posting experience is a plus. Ideal candidate will be a team player who is hungry, humble and smart, as well as, detail oriented.

Patient Collections – Full-time, West location, Monday – Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm, Candidate will assist with accounts receivable (A/R) management for physician claims. Monitor all accounts with delinquent patient balances. Review patient balances for outsourcing to Payment Monitoring or to Collections.  Work closely with our extended business office and collection agencies. Work closely with patients as well as with the front desk and appointments to collect balances. Process bankruptcy notices, returned statements, USPS reports, patient portal emails, and tasks. Assist patients with questions or requested documentation. Medical billing experience preferred. Must be detail oriented and a team player, hungry, humble and smart.

Revenue Cycle Good Faith Estimate Coordinator – Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm at our West location. The duties that will need to be performed include: obtaining and entering the necessary information from patients, clinical staff, and physicians for good faith estimates. Works with these contacts to establish a cost summary of treatment, providing requested documentation to patients prior to time of service (typically within 24 hours). This position also supports the Revenue Cycle teams with administrative duties that span several departments. These duties include sorting mail, scanning mail to various departments, ordering office supplies, data entry for payment posting, or other duties as assigned. There will be two individuals cross-trained in this role.

Certified Professional Coder – Coder for busy multi-physician orthopedic practice.  Main duties will consist of E/M coding. Working, up to date knowledge of CPT, ICD-10 and HCPCS coding required. Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.  CPC or CPC-A required.  Additional administrative duties as directed by the Coding Manager and Director. Excellent customer service skills, friendly and positive attitude, ideal team player – hungry, humble and smart.

 

ORTHOTENNESSEE – Powell (North)

Pre-Certification Coordinator – Full-time, Monday – Friday; successfully obtain prior authorization/approval for physician recommended tests/procedures/surgeries by submitting necessary, accurate and complete information to utilization management teams/insurance companies/and 3rd Party authorization companies  with correct diagnosis and procedure codes via phone, fax or internet. Reports authorization information to facilities. Effectively communicates with Physicians/Team members and patients. Must be humble/hungry/smart.

 

ORTHOTENNESSEE – Maryville

Medical Receptionist – Full-time, Monday – Friday, 8AM – 5PM; check-in and check-out, collecting co-pays, various clerical duties, schedule office appointments, must be friendly and dependable, EHR and NextGen experience preferred, medical office experience a plus.

Medical Receptionist – Full-time, North location; Monday – Friday, 8:30AM – 5:30PM; check-in and check-out, collecting co-pays, various clerical duties, scheduling return visits, must be willing to travel to various offices, schedule office appointments, must be friendly and dependable, EHR and NextGen experienced preferred, medical office experience a plus.                                                      

Physical Therapist – PRN, Licensed required; evaluate and establish care plans for patients, carry out treatments, document, patient/caregiver education, care team communication and coordination. 

Occupational Therapist – PRN, Licensed Occupational Therapist with hand/UE orthopedic expertise to fill in as needed; evaluate and establish care plans for patients, carry out treatments, document, patient/caregiver education.

 

KNOXVILLE ORTHOPAEDIC SURGERY CENTER

Certified Surgical Tech – 2 – (1) Full-time and (1) PRN; orthopedic experience preferred, Total Joint experience a plus. Ability to work in a very busy environment and multi-task well, as well as be a team player.

Registered Nurse, Pre-op/PACU – PRN; days will vary with a minimum of two 10 hours shifts a week; responsible for getting patients ready for surgery and monitoring, recovering, and discharging post-surgery patients. Ability to work in a very busy environment and multi-task well, as well as be a team player.

Registered Nurse, OR Circulator – 2 – (1) Full-time and (1) PRN; working in a busy ambulatory surgery center with current BLS and ACSL/PALS or obtained within 6 months required; must has surgical or circulating experience, total joint experience preferred. Ability to work in a very busy environment and multi-task well, as well as be a team player.

 

SPORTS MEDICINE OUTREACH

Athletic Trainer – Full-time; Responsibilities include providing daily outreach Athletic Training Services to one secondary school covering home events, accurate record keeping, and assist student and families with injuries and MD appointments, etc. No travel will be required, experience preferred but not required. Must have TN State License. Friendly and positive attitude, ideal team player – hungry, humble and smart.

Athletic Trainer – PRN; Responsibilities include providing PRN outreach Athletic Training Services to various locations around the East Tennessee region covering contracted events as needed; accurate record keeping, and assist student and families with injuries and MD appointments, etc. Experience is strongly preferred but not required. UNIVERSITY ORTHOPAEDIC SURGEONS

Radiologic Technologist – PRN; responsible for radiographs, quality control, patient care, cleaning and stocking supplies. Must be a team player and possess the ability to communicate with technologists, staff and physicians. Will rotate between offices. ARRT and Tennessee State license required.

Medical Assistant – (5) Full-time, Monday – Friday, UT/Turkey Creek/Sevierville location; assisting physician in clinic, pulling patients back, entering demographic information, various clinical and clerical duties. Good communication skills and computer skills. Must be a team player and have a positive attitude. Hungry, humble and people smart.

Surgery Scheduler – Full-time, Monday – Friday, 8AM – 5PM at Turkey Creek location; responsible for surgery and procedure scheduling and rescheduling, charge entry, and various administrative duties. Seeking someone with excellent customer service who is hungry, humble, and  people smart. Next Gen, HER, Cerner, and Powerchart experience preferred.

 

KNOXVILLE ORTHOPAEDIC CLINIC

Advanced Practice Provider – Full-time to work independently with a “Total Joint Orthopedic Surgeon” to work in the clinic, first assist in surgery, hospital rounds and possible on-call. Excellent customer service skills, friendly and positive attitude, ideal team player – hungry, humble and smart.

Advanced Practice Provider – Full-time; provide evaluation and management of in-office patients. Orthopedic experience a plus. Working with physician to take care of orthopedic surgical patients. Scheduling Coordinator – Full-time, Monday – Friday at Weisgarber; Schedules surgeries, outpatient procedures/tests, referrals and appointments. Clearly communicates with patients by providing instructions/information regarding their surgery/procedures and schedule follow up appointment, documents actions on paper, EMR and EHR, obtains prior authorization/approval for workman’s compensation cases, maintains accurate physicians surgical appointment schedule, knowing and keeping current with requirements of multiple physicians and insurance companies

Medical Scribe – Full-time, West location, Monday – Friday, involves entering patient visit information in Electronic Health Records (EHR). Medical terminology and computer skills are important. This is an upbeat and fast–paced clinic. Must be a team player and have a positive attitude.

Charge Poster – Full-time, Monday – Friday, at our North location; responsibilities include reviewing and posting all provider charges for all KOC locations, various administrative duties, running reports, and and reviewing dictation. Excel experience is a plus. Excellent customer service skills, friendly and positive attitude, ideal team player – hungry, humble and smart.

Appointment Scheduler – 2 Full-time, Monday-Friday, Weisgarber location; make patient appointments for all OTN locations and providers. Follows appointment guidelines to ensure proper scheduling and rescheduling via phone/online, additional clerical duties. Computer skills and physician office experience a plus. Must be a team player and have a positive attitude.

 

UNIVERSITY ORTHOPAEDIC SURGERY DEPARTMENT (UTMC)

OR Attendant –  2 Full-time positions, 9AM – 5:30PM Monday – Friday and 7AM – 7PM (three 12 hour days Sat-Mon); moving and positioning patients, helping turnover rooms, stock, etc. Must be a team player and able to work in busy environment.

Registered Nurse – 3 Full-time positions, 7AM – 3:30PM, 7AM – 7PM (three 12 hour days Mon-Fri) and 3PM – 11:30PM; assist in orthopedic trauma, surgical experience required. Must be a team player and able to work in busy environment.

Surgical Tech – 3 Full-time positions, 7AM – 3:30PM Monday – Friday, 7AM – 5:30PM (four 10 hour days Mon-Fri), 7AM – 7PM (three 12 hour days Sat-Mon); assist in orthopedic trauma and total joints, experience preferred. Certified Surgical Tech required. Must be a team player and able to work in busy environment.

 

UNIVERSITY ORTHOPEDIC SURGERY CENTER (Opening Summer)

Registered Nurse, PACU – Full-time, Monday – Friday; responsible for patient care from time of arrival from OR until discharge home. Total joint experience preferred. Must be BLS certified. ACLS and PALS required within 90 days of hire (provided at facility). Must be detail oriented; team player, hungry, humble and smart.
