An orthotic is a device or brace meant to assist a part of the body to achieve functional tasks. Our physicians may care for you with assistive devices such as knee braces or walking boots. For your convenience, we have these items as the same clinic where you see your doctor.

  • If your physician prescribes bracing for you, our expert fitters will explain the use of the device and answer you questions. If you have more questions, just give us a call at 865.769.4574. We're here to help.
  • Many insurance plans pay for bracing and other devices. Our insurance staff will be happy to help you find answers about your specific plan.
  • Orthotics are often used to treat localized foot pain, bunions, or hammer toes, arch/heel pain, leg/knee pain, or hip or back pain - even neck pain.
  • Orthotics will not reduce muscles tone. They will help position the affected body part so you will be using the right muscles at the right time, minimizing fatigue and allowing your muscles to be used more efficiently.
