Originally from Ringgold, Georgia, Tyler has always had a strong desire to treat patients with orthopaedic problems, which stems from his own athletic background. He received his undergraduate degree in kinesiology from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and earned his Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from South University in Savannah, Georgia. While at Tennessee, he worked as a student athletic trainer for the Lady Volunteers and has also worked as a physical therapy technician. Tyler enjoys treating musculoskeletal injuries and helping patients regain function in order to perform the activities they love.

In his spare time, Tyler enjoys spending time with his wife, Kate. They enjoy playing outside with their dogs, traveling, music and Tennessee football games. Tyler diagnoses and treats patients at OrthoTennessee Maryville, where he works alongside orthopaedic surgeons as part of a medical team. He is a current member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants.
