Brigina T. Wilkerson, PT, considers helping a client get back to the highest level of function while developing a rapport and friendship as the greatest aspects of being a physical therapist. She specializes in sports medicine orthopaedics, lower and upper extremity injuries and total joint rehabilitation.

Her certifications include Manual Therapy Certification (MTC) and Graston Technique, and she has advanced training in kinesiology taping as well as training in upper extremity splinting. Brigina has served in multiple settings and capacities in her career including acute care, home health and in workers’ compensation. She joined OrthoTennessee in 1995 and serves as the site coordinator for the West office. 

Brigina earned a bachelor’s degree in education and biology from the University of Tennessee and a bachelor’s degree in physical therapy from University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) in Memphis.

Brigina is a previous board member and chair of the Tennessee Board of Physical Therapy and currently serves as a consultant for the board. She has held various adjunct faculty positions and served as an instructor with American Red Cross. When she is not in the clinic, Brigina considers time with family to be the most precious, and enjoys spiritual time, golf, scuba, fly fishing, most sports, gardening, travel and friends.
