Carolyn Pendergast, OTR, is an occupational therapist and certified hand therapist who specializes in upper extremities. She’s been with OrthoTennessee since 2008.

She has a passion for helping individuals with hand, wrist and upper extremity injuries and conditions achieve their goals of improved function and performance, enabling them to return to their daily activities with confidence.

She earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of Tennessee and a Master of Occupational Therapy from Texas Woman’s University and achieved specialty certification as a certified hand therapist. Carolyn also is passionate about advancing the field of hand and arm therapy by teaching continuing education courses and supervising and mentoring occupational therapy interns in clinical fieldwork.

Carolyn actively engages in community service, volunteering through her church’s clothing and food ministries. She enjoys hiking, kayaking, biking, working out, spin classes and yoga and loves spending quality time with her family, including her husband, Brent, and their two children.
