Occupational Therapist and Certified Hand Therapist (OT/CHT) Tara Conley loves watching patients reclaim their abilities and helping others regain independence and rise above traumatic experiences. She has a passion for helping patients recover from upper extremity injuries.

Tara joined OrthoTennessee in 2018 and specializes in upper extremity trauma injuries, post-op recovery, custom splinting, Graston Technique, kinesiology taping and dry needling. Her expertise allows her to provide comprehensive care for patients seeking rehabilitation for shoulder, wrist, hand and elbow injuries. Tara also believes in advancing the field of hand and arm therapy by teaching continuing education courses to other professionals practicing in similar areas.

She earned a bachelor’s degree in allied medicine/occupational therapy from The Ohio State University. She has further honed skills through training in neurodevelopmental treatment (NDT), advanced orthotics and dry needling techniques, adding to her comprehensive understanding of patient care. Tara also speaks Spanish at an intermediate level.

Tara supports Centro Hispano de East Tennessee and Shangri-La Therapeutic Academy of Riding (STAR) as a volunteer. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her dogs, reading, gardening and cooking for her family.
